  • Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation - Currently, JMMF coordinates 40-50 Ocean Therapy sessions each year between our Military Program (serving active-duty military and veterans) and Youth Program. Ocean Therapy sessions are offered year-round and have historically served more than 500 active duty and veterans annually. JMMF created our Veteran program to reach those whose service may have ended but their adverse wartime experiences still traumatize them. In 2013, to further delineate our population groups and provide a “safe” therapeutic environment, we implemented our first female-only veteran sessions. We continue to offer 2-4 female-only sessions each summer. - Manhattan Beach, CA - jimmymillerfoundation.org

  • Warrior Surf Foundation - Our 12-week long program provides the opportunity for up to three surf lessons per week, along with many additional opportunities for engagement in the surfing experience. The goal of Surf Ops is to support every participant in the development of the surfing skills, competency, safety, etiquette, and ocean- knowledge necessary to surf unassisted and independently by the end of the 12-week program. After completion of this program, we encourage participants to continue surfing wherever home is for them, and to continue engaging and surfing with the WSF community. - Folly Beach, SC - warriorsurf.org

  • Dive Pirates - They provide training and equipment to disabled veterans, law enforcement, and first responders who have been disabled in the line of duty. They provide a fun and safe way to be able to experience scuba diving. They have adapted equipment for safe underwater excursions as well as medical professionals on staff. - The Woodlands, TX – divepirates.org

  • Heroes on the Water- They provide Kayak fishing to military veterans as well as first responders. They have many chapters along the coast lines. They have several events preplanned along the Texas and North Carolina coastlines. Their events are only open to Military Veterans and First responders along with family access. - Multiple locations - heroesonthewater.org

  • Operation Blue Pride - Operation Blue Pride’s (OBP) mission is to welcome Veterans, Active Duty Military and Gold Star Families into the scuba diving community at low or no cost and provide basic and advanced scuba training and certification, regardless of physical or psychological injuries. OBP enables Veterans to participate in scuba training that is adapted for everyone’s needs and in accordance with established certification guidelines OBP's open water scuba program is designed to be local to our Veterans' communities. One of OBP's goals is to help our Veterans expand their personal network within their area here at home. OBP Veterans meet other local Veterans through our program and OBP's ambition is to continue to expand their reach to other local Veterans through diving. - Newton, MA - operationbluepride.org
