Letter to our Supporters
Dear Veteran Supporter,
Can a small group of volunteers convince the United States Government to provide benefits for hundreds of thousands of Veterans? Of course! Military-Veterans Advocacy has done that. Through our efforts to litigate, legislate, and educate, MVA added benefits for 90,000 Blue Water Navy Veterans and hundreds of thousands of Veterans stationed in Guam, American Samoa, Johnson Island, Thailand Laos, and Cambodia. We have assisted other groups to gain benefits for millions of Veterans exposed to radiation and burn pits.
Every year, almost 6400 veterans take their own lives. We are supporting legislation to promote non-opioid treatments for post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury. In 2023, MVA allied with a Canadian charity, the Benjamin Ware Legacy Fund, to adopt a mental health agenda based on nature therapy. This includes an annual "Veterans Get Outside Day." This year's Veterans Get Outside Day will be on June 9th, 2024 at Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island.
We can do this important work without your support. Our volunteer Board Of Directors invest their time, talent, and financial resources to support our Veterans. We are fortunate to have a loyal cadre of donors who solidly back our mission. Sponsorships enable MVA to continue initiatives including trips to Capital Hill to seek legislative support for our Veterans.
