Military-Veterans Advocacy (MVA) and the Benjamin Ware Legacy Fund – o2 Project are proud to announce a new joint initiative – the 10-A-Day Challenge. This challenge urges individuals to spend at least 10 minutes every day outside to promote the healing effects of nature on people confronted with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and traumatic brain injury.

This is an expansion of the resolution signed by the U.S. Senate designating June 10, 2023, as Veterans Get Outside Day. The resolution was a joint initiative encouraged by MVA and the Benjamin Ware Legacy Fund.

There are benefits to spending at least 10 minutes per day outside taking a stroll, riding a bike, walking a dog, sitting communing with nature, or relaxing on your porch or balcony. By participating, you may find that your body begins to crave nature and taking this break can help reduce the stressors of life.

why participate?

  • Boost your physical and mental well-being
  • Energize your body with fresh air and sunlight
  • Recharge your mind and enhance productivity
  • Connect with nature and find inner peace
  • Create healthy habits that last a lifetime
  • Calm stress and clear your mind
  • Helps veterans and others dealing with PTSD and TBI
